I had the opportunity to deliver remotely while working alongside Dr. Owais Rafiq, who is a Pediatric Anesthesiologist and Child Healthcare Advocate in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Dr. Owais’s goal is to help children and their family by improving the safety, education, and well-being of people. He specializes in pediatric anesthesia, regional anesthesia, patient information, sports medicine, and improving anesthesia practices.
In this case, my responsibility was to design graphics that would resonate with Dr. Owais’s goals set out for his practice. This included other visual materials to help support his cause of advocating for the pediatric healthcare, anesthesia safety as well as patient education. The animations that I created were meant to allow and engage his audience that consisted of healthcare professionals, parents, children, and caregivers in intricate medical ideas.
The very common dilemma was how to depict Dr Owais’s commitment to improving the standards of anesthesia practice and child health advocacy. I prepared social media articles, posters and other pieces, that showcased his in-depth knowledge and enthusiasm correctly, in a professional and friendly manner. These designs served to promote his words, creating a palpable relationship with his audience and furthering his aim of improving the children’s and their families’ lives.
Through this collaboration, not only did I aid a significant endeavor, but I also developed a better comprehension of how education and activism can be enhanced with the use of design. Influenced by Dr Owais’s dedication to improving the situation with children’s health care I was able to produce visual components that were built on beauty and relevance.
My experience with Dr. Owais Rafiq was very rewarding, and I am happy that I have been able to assist him in fulfilling his vision through creative and intentional design. Check out my work that demonstrates how I will help you to formulate your ideas through creative and purposeful visual strategies.
